Creamy Marie Biscuit Dessert — Ready in 20 Minutes, No Oven Needed

This Marie biscuit dessert is a quick and wonderfully comforting version of the homemade recipes everyone loves. It comes from simple family traditions, recalling pavê and party sweets, but with a modern touch: an incredibly creamy texture, the sweet contrast of the filling against the mild flavor of the biscuits, and an aroma that recalls chocolate and vanilla. The best part is that it’s ready in just 20 minutes, no oven needed — perfect for when a craving hits and you want something delicious fast, just like other easy and quick desserts.

In the final result, condensed milk and heavy cream bring the sweetness and creaminess that melt in your mouth, while butter adds shine and softness. Cocoa or chocolate powder delivers the intense chocolate taste and vanilla extract adds a delicate aroma. Marie biscuits contribute their slightly crunchy texture which, when layered with the cream, creates soft and comforting layers — a texture that recalls a velvety chocolate mousse. To finish, a touch of chocolate sprinkles or shavings adds crunch and makes the dessert even more inviting.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (395 g / 14 oz) condensed milk
  • 1 small carton (200 g / 7 oz) heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder (or chocolate powder)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package (200 g / 7 oz) Marie biscuits
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate sprinkles or chocolate shavings for decoration

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the condensed milk, butter, and cocoa powder.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the cream thickens and pulls slightly away from the bottom of the pan (about 8–10 minutes).
  3. Turn off the heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Wait 1 minute, then add the heavy cream, stirring until smooth. Let it cool slightly (5 minutes).
  4. In a serving dish or individual glasses, layer: a thin layer of chocolate cream, then a layer of Marie biscuits (whole or broken). Repeat until the cream and biscuits are finished. For tray versions and other no-bake preparations, also check out ideas for no-bake tray desserts.
  5. Finish with chocolate sprinkles or shavings on top.
  6. Refrigerate for about 10 minutes or serve warm if preferred. Total time: approximately 20 minutes. If you want it well chilled, check out suggestions for quick chilled no-bake desserts.

No oven needed. All times are approximate.
